PDF Hexagon Cluster
Honeycomb clustering for print output. Groups related items in a visually compact hexagonal arrangement.
The PDF Hexagon Cluster block arranges items in a honeycomb pattern where each hexagonal cell represents a capability, component, or concept. Adjacent hexagons share edges, creating a visually compact and balanced layout that is well suited to print documents.
When to Use
Block Properties
| Property | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Items | Yes | List of items to display as hexagonal cells |
| Item Label | Yes | Text shown inside each hexagon |
| Item Icon | No | Optional icon displayed above the label |
| Group | No | Logical group name used to colour-code clusters |
| Columns | No | Number of hexagons per row before wrapping (default: auto) |
Layout Behaviour
Hexagons are arranged in offset rows to create the honeycomb effect. When a group property is set, hexagons in the same group share a fill colour and are positioned adjacently where possible. The block auto-sizes to fit the page width, scaling hexagon dimensions proportionally.
