Infographic Design System

A complete visual design system built into NeoArc Studio. Shapes across categories, interactive data visualisation shapes with configurator panels, a layers panel with z-order and visibility control, shape grouping and rotation, visual effects with blend modes, gradient fills, a reusable component library, and canvas presets from 16:9 widescreen to 300 DPI print resolution.

Architects should not need a separate design tool to create visual assets. NeoArc Studio includes a complete infographic design system directly in the diagram editor. It is not a simplified drawing tool with basic shapes and colours. It is a full design canvas with interactive data visualisation shapes, layer management, visual effects, gradient fills, and a component library. The output matches what you would expect from dedicated design software, but the workflow is designed for architects, not designers.

Shape Library

The shape library contains shapes across categories, covering everything from basic geometry to complex data visualisation components.

Interactive Shapes

Interactive shapes go beyond static geometry. Each interactive shape has a dedicated configurator panel where you set values, colours, segments, dimensions, and labels in real time. The shape updates as you configure it, making data visualisation immediate and precise.

Canvas and Layers

Layers Panel
Full z-order control with drag-drop reordering, per-shape visibility toggles, lock toggles, and inline rename. Shapes are listed in reverse z-order matching the visual hierarchy. Groups appear as collapsible containers.
Shape Grouping
Group shapes to move, hide, and lock as a unit. Drag shapes into groups in the layers panel. Group-wide visibility, locking, and deletion. Groups can be nested for complex compositions.
Canvas Presets
16:9 (1920x1080), 4:3 (1600x1200), 1:1 (1200x1200), A4 Portrait (2480x3508 at 300 DPI), and A4 Landscape (3508x2480 at 300 DPI). The canvas locks to the selected size for consistent output.
Component Library
Save any selection as a reusable component. Drag system or user components onto the canvas. Organise by category. Build a consistent visual vocabulary across all your architecture assets.

Visual Effects

Visual effects with blend modes provide professional-quality styling without leaving the architecture tool.

EffectDescription
Drop ShadowConfigurable offset, blur radius, spread, and colour for depth and elevation
Inner ShadowInset shadow for recessed or pressed-in visual treatment
Outer GlowSoft colour emanation around the shape edge for emphasis
BlurGaussian blur at configurable radius for background elements or depth of field
Motion BlurDirectional blur suggesting movement or speed
Colour OverlayTint the entire shape with a single colour at configurable opacity
NoiseAdd texture noise for a tactile, organic quality
OutlineAdditional stroke outline beyond the standard border
EmbossRaised 3D surface appearance with highlight and shadow
Colour AdjustmentsBrightness, contrast, saturation, and hue rotation
Gradient FillsLinear gradients with multiple colour stops for polished backgrounds

Export Formats

Export infographics directly in four formats. PNG and JPEG render at 2x resolution for crisp output on high-DPI displays.

SVG (Vector)
Infinite scaling for web embedding and further editing in design tools. Vector output preserves every detail at any zoom level.
PNG (2x Resolution)
Raster export at double canvas resolution for sharp display on Retina and high-DPI screens. Ideal for documentation and presentations.
JPEG (2x Resolution)
Compressed raster export for email attachments and web images where file size matters more than transparency support.
PDF (Vector)
Vector PDF with embedded fonts for printed handouts, compliance packs, and formal documentation packages.

Where Infographics Are Used

The infographic design system powers visual assets throughout NeoArc Studio, not just standalone exports.

TouchpointHow Infographics Are Used
PDF Front CoversDesign pixel-perfect cover pages with full-bleed infographic layouts
PDF Back CoversBranded back pages with contact information, logos, and visual design
PDF HeadersRepeating header infographics on every content page
PDF FootersRepeating footer infographics with branding and page references
Visualisation Block NodesEach node in a visualisation block references an infographic media file
Embedded Page ContentInfographics embedded inline in documentation pages as visual assets

Icon Libraries

The full icon library from four icon sets is available in the infographic editor: Lucide, Heroicons (outline and solid), and Bootstrap Icons. Search across all icons by name, then drag them onto the canvas and style them with any colour, size, and effect. Custom icons can be uploaded as SVG for organisation-specific logos and brand marks.
